OAKLAND YOUTH FIRST HERO'S

Drafted in the first round as the 24th pick overall in the 1970 NFL Draft, Chester began his NFL career with the Oakland Raiders. He won a Super Bowl Champion in 1980
Two World Series champion, considered one of the greatest second basemen of all-time, Morgan was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990 
Sandré Swanson was elected to the California State Assembly in November 2006. Mr. Swanson represented the 16th Assembly District
 Five-time NBA Most Valuable Player and a twelve-time All-Star, he was the centerpiece of the Celtics dynasty, winning eleven NBA championships during his thirteen-year career.
Andreas Cluver is the Building and Construction Trades Council of Alameda County Secretary-Treasurer 
Clem was the All-Time leading rusher in the American Football League and was selected to the All-Time All-AFL Team.
Oakland Youth First program of the Scotlan Youth & Family Center started with the fundraiser honoring William "Bill" Russell.  Bill asked us to address the youth crime and high school dropout rate in our community in West Oakland. MLB Baseball Hall of Famer Joe Morgan, AFL Hall of Famer Clem Daniels and Raymond Chester of the Oakland Raiders have joined with our efforts to build an innovative programs to engage Oakland youth to the career opportunities on Land, Air & Sea, our "Linked Learning" style program.  Our latest honoree is Andreas F. Cluver, Secretary-Treasurer of the Building and Construction Trades Council for his local and international efforts providing training and expertise in job development and training. Thank you to these HEROs!
